BYD and Mediawan continue their strategic partnership: electric mobility at the heart of major new productions

17th September 2026   A few months after announcing their strategic partnership, BYD and Mediawan are taking their collaboration to a new level: BYD and DENZA feature in Call My Agent! (Dix pour cent), the film directed by Émilie Noblet and adapted from the iconic French series of the same name. Available on Netflix, the film, like the original series, is produced by Mediawan – Mon Voisin Productions and Mother Production.

Highly awaited by fans of the series, six years after it ended, this feature film stars Camille Cottin, Laure Calamy, Thibault de Montalembert and Nicolas Maury, offering the BYD and DENZA brands fresh exposure at the heart of a French production with international reach.

Three BYD and DENZA models appear on screen alongside the film’s stars
In the film, the BYD and DENZA vehicles are naturally integrated into the characters’ daily lives and feature in several scenes throughout the plot. Three models with distinct personalities appear on screen: the BYD DOLPHIN SURF, a 100 per cent electric city car with a dynamic and contemporary design; the BYD SEALION 7, a 100 per cent electric SUV combining technology and performance; and the DENZA Z9GT, a large GT with shooting brake styling where elegant design meets the most advanced technologies.

Through this integration, the BYD Group highlights how its brands and models complement one another, ranging from urban electric mobility, embodied by the DOLPHIN SURF, to the premium, technology-driven experience offered by the DENZA Z9GT. With this new collaboration, BYD and DENZA reaffirm their commitment to partnering with unifying cultural projects and offering new ways for the general public to discover their technologies and vehicles, whilst supporting creativity and talent.

A new milestone for the BYD x Mediawan partnership
Announced last January, the strategic partnership between BYD and Mediawan is based on shared values of innovation, sustainability and international openness, and aims to combine their expertise to support the financing and development of premium content.

Since its launch, this collaboration has taken shape through several initiatives. Created by BYD and Mediawan to support emerging film talent, the Build Your Dream Award, in its first edition held in Cannes in May 2026, honoured Honeymoon by Ukrainian director Zhanna Ozirna with a prize of 40,000 euros.

The partnership has also been rolled out within the Miraculous Chibi universe, where Marinette gets behind the wheel of the BYD DOLPHIN SURF in an attempt to arrive on time for her date with Adrien. This marks the brand’s first integration into a Mediawan production, within the international and intergenerational world of Miraculous.

With the integration of BYD and DENZA in Call My Agent! (Dix pour cent), the film, the partnership is now taking a new step forward by integrating three of the group’s models into the heart of a Mediawan production with significant international exposure. New projects will further enhance this momentum from 2027 onwards, confirming the two groups’ commitment to a long-term collaboration.
